Kolette's funeral and Elliott's birthday dinner

My sweet friend died on New Year's eve.  This is how she looked when  we were in high school.

A few of us, her friends from the old days, have been visiting her in her care center for the last few years.  We have laughed at our old memories.

Smiled with her as she's faced pain and trials.
This is her testimony that was printed on her funeral program.  It reflects the positive attitude she kept in the midst of her pain and suffering.
Testimony of Kolette Gerber Burrows
My physical test is a blessing.  It is a test that God has chosen for me.  I had rheumatic fever at age 8.  I learned I had Multiple Sclerosis at age 23.  I don't resent having this disease.  My life is different but not worse.  I love Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost.  Without these Three I would not be the happy person I am today.
I have a great testimony of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and of the prophet Joseph Smith.  Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God.  I have always known that the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.  I know the Book of Mormon is true.  I have had many things in my life that have proven it to me.  In reading 3rd Nephi lately (for the third time), it is a second testimony of Christ.  It is amazing that when He was in the new world, He showed His wounds of the crucifixion to the people here in America.
I love the Book of Mormon.  In Moroni 10:4,5 is found a promise to all who read with real intent; they will receive the knowledge and testimony that the book of Mormon is true.  These things I testify in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
She fought the good fight and finished the course.  She stayed strong to the end.

Here's my aunt and uncle and parents at her funeral.
