The First Annual Bob Ellis FHE

It has been way too long since we had all of my siblings and my parents together for a FHE!
We met at my brother Bob's house tonight.  Here he is with my dad, Bob Jr and Sr.  Don't they look alike?

Here's my sweet mother telling us how she feels like the most blessed person on earth because all of her 10 children and their spouses have testimonies, are temple worthy and are living the gospel.  Isn't she beautiful?

My brother Paul and his sweet wife Amy.

Davis, his wife/my sister Marianne (she is the sister I look the most like) and my mom.

My brother Scott with his wife Kristi on his lap, my sister Laura, brother-in-laws Kent and Davis, and Marianne.  And my mom's leg.

Part of my sister Connie, Scott, Kristi, then my brother-in-law Brian in the back with my dad.

My sister Connie with her husband Rob.

My brother-in-law Medardo, Richard and Bob.

My sister Nancy and sister-in-law Pam.

Medardo, Bob and my sister Kathy.
Dad, my sister Laura, and Kent.
Sadly, my brother Dean couldn't make it some kind of Stake President stuff to do, his gorgeous wife Erika came by for a few minutes, but somehow I didn't get a picture of her.
It was such fun!  See you all next year in New Mexico.  Hey and down there Deaner won't have any Stake business!

So much fun in one Saturday!

The long awaited day finally arrived for Jonathan and I to enjoy our birthday presents!  We went to see the matinee of Wicked at the Capital Theatre in SLC!  I loved it!  It was so fun and funny and the music was incredible!

We went straight to meet my 2 of my sisters and their husbands, my niece and Richard at Zupas in Draper for dinner. We traded cars, and had Jonathan head home while Richard and I took my mom and dad to this fun wedding reception in Bountiful.
This is my mom helping my Aunt Janelle get her corsage straight.  They have to be 2 of the cutest ladies I know.

Dad had us drive by the house where he was born in Bountiful.

Here's he pointing out the original parts of the house to us.  This was all part of a carefully orchestrated plan for a surprise birthday party for them.  I was starting to get nervous about the Bountiful tour because.....all of these people were waiting to surprise them at their home in Sandy.

Here's all of my siblings with my darling parents.

Here's us and our spouses.

My surprised mom heading over to hug my sister Marianne, who'd just flown in.
Did I mention that my siblings and their spouses are the coolest people I know, well, besides my parents!
Don't worry tomorrow night we are getting together with just the adults for a Family Home Evening!

East Canyon lunch and some Birthdays

We took my mom and dad up to East Canyon for lunch with some of the family.  Erika and Dean came from the triathlon at Call Fort.  Erika's first tri! Dean's second.

My mom will be 83 tomorrow.  My great nephew Ellis turned 6 that day and Dan Chapman turned 30!

I sure do love being around these good people!

Coming and Going

My great friend Barbara is in town from Portland.  We got together at Cafe Rio with another friend, Patti, who is moving to San Diego this week. Debbie is staying here!!

Barb's daughter started kindergarten with Jenny.  We've been friends ever since.  She is an Ellis.  We haven't figured out where we are connected, but we will.

83 years old! And old friends visit.

I have officially become the worst camera woman in the world.  But here's my awesome
dad on his 83rd birthday today.

Here's my awesome mom (only 82 for a couple more weeks) getting us birthday cake and ice cream.

Richard trying out their new swing.

Our old neighbors are in town from Idaho.   Kierah came over and hung out.  She met Charity, they went to the mall and then came back for more gaming and animaing until..

Kierah's parents came back and took her away.

Celebrating America's Birthday

We got invited to watch Elliott watch her first fireworks at Meg's brother's last night.  She loved it unless they were too noisy.

Jonathan, Charity, Richard and I went to the cabin this morning.  Charity brought her ocarina, but I never got a shot of her playing it.  She was too shy about it..

We took the obligatory hike to the beaver pond.

Amy got this shot of Richard and I.

My brother Paul and most of his family were there.  Here's Brian and Kevin repairing the handrail.

Kevin relaxing on Jodi.

My pictures of Paul and Amy really didn't turn out, or of Jon and Charity on the 4 wheeler.  But I did get this shot of the malt shop on the way home!
It was fun!  Thanks for making the annual pilgrimage with me and sharing with us Paul and Amy!
