Where did September go?

We were alone in the office 2 days this week.  We had MLC and a huge Zone Conference in our building this week.  The APs brought us a couch, a vacuum, more dishes, another dresser and a bed!  We are pretty set up now!
This weekend I went to a baptism and a baby shower while Elder Quincy went to the Hawkeyes football game.  Today we went to church and a Come Follow Me study group!
Jen sent this picture of our Sarah ready for church!
Sister Sturm has challenged to declutter their apartments and to bring her reusable bedding and winter gear.  So her garage needed some help!

We put these shelves together so she can declutter the garage!

She left her name tag home so I forged this one for her!

A big Zone Conference!

The great APs moving more furniture!

They still managed to put together this baptism Saturday!

Josephine with her back to us was baptized!

I gave some investigators a ride to the baptism and home and then got to go to Makalas baby shower!

I am so excited for General Conference,  but can't believe that September is ending so soon!  Time flies!

Senior Training, a birthday, and feeding missionaries

It's been over a year since we had a Senior training!
It was great to get our senior missionaries together Friday!  We toured the Carthage Jail, had sack lunches, had training from the Sturms, attended a session at the Nauvoo temple, and had dinner at the Hotel Nauvoo!  We are almost the most senior of the Seniors!  One couple came a few days before us. This is a wonderful group of humans!

We had lots of rain yesterday!  It stopped long enough to take a walk.

These 4 buildings are in a row; the Sanders live in the first, the APs love in the second, we live in the third, and the Taylors live in the fourth.

My little Sarah is growing and survived Imelda!

We have 4 sisters coming from Nauvoo to serve in Iowa for 3 transfers.  We found one of them; Sister Swensen.

Elder Quincy got a big kick out of giving the vehicle coordinator a kit to break into locked cars for his birthday!

We got a plaque for our mailbox.

We had the Spanish branch missionaries and the office couples over for dinner.  Kind of a party week!

2 new senior couples and the big move!

It's been a fun week!  The Richardsons from Arizona arrived on Monday!  They will serve in East Moline.

We started moving.  The kind APs carried our bed up the stairs for us.

They brought these chairs from the storage shed.

Meanwhile my sister visited my kids in Washington.

We had a full moon.

Our big move was from that building to this one.  Every morning this week we've been moving our stuff for our workout.

The Taylor's arrived yesterday. They moved into our old apartment.

We've managed to gather furniture so we have a place to sleep and a place to eat.  That's about all we need!

This guy is creative!  2 bar stools inside and one on the bike rack!

Working in the office, the American Gothic house, the Barkers, parting ways then Dubuque and Wisconsin

Field of Dreams movie site.

Wisconsin.

From up here in Dubuque Iowa you can see across the Mississippi to Illinois to the right and to Wisconsin to the left.

A very steep train ride

Delivering these Elders a new RAV4.

Lunch with my cousin Lisa's family.   She is an amazing cook!

The American Gothic house in Eldon

The Mexican restaurant across the street.

With 4 helpers we got lots of work done so I could play the next morning.

It was a blast having my sisters and niece here!  I wish my other 2 sisters could have come!  Next year!  I am so blessed!
