Jack's birthday celebration!

We had Jack's birthday dinner tonight! Joni didn't make it, but Summer and her 3 cuties did, so we survived! There's this rule that I should have figured out by now; if I fix a special lactose free meal for Joni, she doesn't show up, even when she says she'll be there, and if I have nothing lactose free for her to eat she shows up, even if she says she can't make it. Maybe I should just not try to feed her and we'd see more of her? Jack opening his gifts with Stephanie and Grant's help. Grant training up Josh in the ways of babies. Yesterday Richard, Jack and Jonathan brought 3 truckloads of playground chips to the back yard. Noah was the first kid to enjoy the added cushioning. He also had to put on some work gloves so he could help out. I'm not sure if Ava still qualifies as the big sister! Notice that Meg's just got the small bandaid on her finger now! Here she is checking out the game Jonathan just bought. This was Josh and Meg's last week in their ward! Next week they will be in their new house!!
Jack will only be with us 2 more Sundays! I managed to sit through Sunday School and Relief Society today! I'll be in Houston next Sunday!!

A Day Off!

I finally got a day off today! I really don't like working every day. I know that I'm spoiled when I feel picked on for not being able to go to the sister's temple session and to have to wait until Friday to go by myself!
Jack finished taking his finals, correcting finals for the class he TA'd, clean check, moving out of his apartment and came home for a few weeks before he heads to Seattle for the summer. Jonathan loves having him around. I got to tend these cute kids for a couple of hours today. There's 8 of them. They are cousins with a cousin about their age for each of them. Here's the climbers; The slider; The look out the window and watch the dog trio; And the great train track builder. It was funny because when their mom/aunt came to pick them up the oldest 4 wanted to stay and play. They were into watching Jon play a computer game. They stuck around for another hour and hung out. I love being free to go to the temple and tend for people instead of going to work.
So far no one has asked me to teach Primary Sunday. I may actually go to Relief Society for the first time in this ward! Do they have activity songs and games for those with acquired ADD? I'm not sure I'll be able to sit that long at the end of the block!

Joni's birthday celebration and Unemployed!

Happy Birthday Joni! 21 years old!
Here's all of the partyers except for Dad and I.
Today I was released from my calling as Primary President. Its really strange to be released without getting a new calling! Being unemployed is really strange in the church. I did hint very strongly to the new President that I'd love to teach Primary. The last time I taught Primary was in the nursery waaaay back before I was called to be the Relief Society President. 7 or 8 years ago!

Busy Friday

Richard, Nancy and I took the 11 year old scouts on a hike at the river bottom today. It was supposed to be 5 miles, which I figured would take us an hour and a half; we took about 2 hours and I don't think we actually went the whole 5 miles. I am going to count all of the detours looking at wildlife (we had to identify 10) and call it good!
Spotting swallow nests under the overpass.

Josh and Meg came and enjoyed Jonathan's Jazz Dinner Dance with us. None of us danced, but we all dinnered and Jonathan jazzed.

Jonathan said it was wierd singing with a mike. I am uploading a video of one of his numbers. Should be available later!

Stephanie's Concert

In the same April Fool's Day email that Steph announced her engagement to Jack, she put some real stuff. One thing was inviting us to see her choir perform last night in the Provo Tabernacle! Such a cool old building! It reminded me of the Assembly Hall on Temple Square. This is Jack giving Steph congratulations after the concert.

This is the outside of the building on our way in.

Here's Steph singing, notice she's 4th from the right on the front row. If you watch the video in the last post, you'll know where to look for her..its kind of small and from far away.
And here's Steph turning pages for the pianist. She had to run back and forth from the piano to the front row several times! The music was wonderful, the building was beautiful and the company was awesome! Thanks for inviting us Steph, even if it was via the infamous email.

More Easter Bash pictures and Twins?

I shamelessly stole almost all of these pictures from my sister Laura's web site. After seeing how many superior pictures they took, I decided to share them. This is a great one of Ava.
I had to add this one I took of Ava and her "little" brother Grant today. Ava was born in June, Grant was born in November. They are almost the same size! They are both adorable!
Here's a few of the boys playing some game with ice on the tramp.
Jo, Jordan, Laura and Grandma.
Grandpa getting his afternoon nap in the middle of the party!
Here's Grandpa Dean and his little brother Scott.
Here's Grandma Erika chatting with Summer and Amy.
Richard and Grant
Wes.
Mia hanging upside down inside the tire, somehow!
Lucy looking through the tire. Scott and Carlos chilling.Grandpa (heading for his nap perhaps?) Scott and Paul. Nancy and Kristi. Siera and Wes Gwen, Seth, Linda and part of Summer Grandma and Grandpa, thanks for getting married 62 years ago! Here you are 10 children, 52 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren (with 2 more on the way) later!

The Easter Bash!! And a Big Birthday!

We hid the eggs in the front yard so the kids could keep playing in the back yard.
Joni and Meg are such little mothers! Meg helped Noah and Ava and Joni brought her roommate's kids and they were glued to her the whole time they were here.
Grandpa Bob!
Ava with the sucker she scored from the egg hunt!

Poor Meg tried to slice off her finger before the bash!
The cute little Blakes.
Dallin and Tali came from taking the ACT!
Kevin and Emily came, but Kevin only ate celery!
Joni with her girls; Hadley and Kyree.
Siera and Grandma.
Jo
Grandpa in some of his famous headware.

So I only got pictures of Grandma Erika and Grandpa Dean's feet.

Jr. Rindlesbacher turned 90 this week. Here he is at the big party with his sweet wife Eva Rae. I hope that I look that good at 90!

It was pretty fun to watch the kids picking up their eggs. I wish I'd taken a video of Levi doing Just Dance. He is pretty darn good. Nancy did get some great still shots of the dancers; checkout her post by clicking my link to Nancy and Medardo on the sidebar. And all of the kids loved jumping on the tramp with a bunch of ice cubes on it. I missed that, too. I did get the egg hunt though!
