We had Jack's birthday dinner tonight! Joni didn't make it, but Summer and her 3 cuties did, so we survived! There's this rule that I should have figured out by now; if I fix a special lactose free meal for Joni, she doesn't show up, even when she says she'll be there, and if I have nothing lactose free for her to eat she shows up, even if she says she can't make it. Maybe I should just not try to feed her and we'd see more of her?

Jack opening his gifts with Stephanie and Grant's help.

Grant training up Josh in the ways of babies.

Yesterday Richard, Jack and Jonathan brought 3 truckloads of playground chips to the back yard. Noah was the first kid to enjoy the added cushioning. He also had to put on some work gloves so he could help out.

I'm not sure if Ava still qualifies as the big sister! Notice that Meg's just got the small bandaid on her finger now!

Here she is checking out the game Jonathan just bought.

This was Josh and Meg's last week in their ward! Next week they will be in their new house!!
Jack will only be with us 2 more Sundays! I managed to sit through Sunday School and Relief Society today! I'll be in Houston next Sunday!!
You've really had the birthdays lately--Happy Birthday everyone! ...Kind of like us in June and July--ours are back-to-back, but then we're DONE for the year, except for Howard and the grandbabies! Have a GREAT time in Houston with those grandbabies!
ReplyDeleteYour house is always a party! Have a blast in Houston! We have a flat bed trailer if Josh and Meg need to use it for the move....they are welcome to come get it, we will be in Virginia blessing Dex.
ReplyDeleteHouston again huh? I wish my Mom would come visit me! Maybe I'll have to have a baby first. That'll get her. Where is Jack going?
ReplyDeleteLactose intolerant Joni? Unlucky girl! Love to find more pictures of Adam's kids too. We're glad Summer can crash at your house and get some more grown-up help. Have fun in Houston!
ReplyDeleteAmber,Jack is spending the summer in Seattle interning with Microsoft. You'll almost be neighbors!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have been celebrating with you. Thanks for sharing the great pictures. I think Ava is smaller than Grant now. It was inevitable. Grant's going to be a big boy. I know Summer is going to miss her extra babysitters next door. If I fix a nice roast for dinner with lots of steamed veggies, Rob and I seem to eat alone. If I only cook a tiny chicken, everyone shows up hungry! I know how it goes.....
ReplyDeleteMakes me smile to see the clearance tag on Jack's shirt, you're so predictable Mom, it's from Freddy's huh? I sure do love you.
