Jamison birthday visit!

Jamison turned 3 on Sunday.  I've decided to do my best to be there on or close to each of my grandkids 3rd birthday because I think its the first one they remember.  Richard had to work Friday, Jonathan had to work Saturday, but my awesome cousin, Joni Lindsay was willing to make the crazy trip with me.  She did more than half of the 27 hours of driving.Jack and Steph are such great parents!  I think my favorite part of the time there was watching the fun bedtime routine with scriptures, prayers, book reading and Jack doing fun bouncy play with them.
Jamison REALLY loves the alphabet.  He plays with the foam letters, sings the alphabet song and one about each of the letter sounds, and loves to write them.  He's filled many notebooks with letters and now is writing words.

Jack and Steph are great hosts.  They fed us delicious food and took us downtown to the aquarium.  It was really fun and had some cool fish.  It was my first experience touching a starfish and some coral and plants.  Pretty fun!  It was octopus week.  There were some pretty cool displays.  Heidi loves to run ahead and then up and down stairs over and over.
Jamison on the other hand wanted to sit in the stroller and write letters for about half of the time there.  I thought it was hilarious!

Ocean view with my cousin Joni.

We went to Pike's Market on our way out.

We had lunch, put the kids down to nap, and left Steph teaching a piano lesson while we hit a session at the Seattle temple.  My cousin is a temple collector.  Seattle was her 55th!

Sunday was Jamison's birthday.  He loved the balloons and the decorations.

The Thomas train stuff we got him was a big hit.

But he and Heidi were thrilled to get some Letter Factory videos to  watch.

Here they are enthralled with the number one.
Thanks for the great time Jack and Steph!  It was awesome!
