Jonathan accompanies.

This has been the busiest day of the year so far, I think. I sent Jonathan off to early morning seminary, got showered and dressed and took my friend Virigina to the hospital to get her gall bladder out. I had time to come home, eat breakfast and finish printing, cutting, folding, stuffing and addressing envelopes for Tina's shower before I left for work. (Richard delivered lots of them while I was at work). I left straight from work to pick up Virginia only to discover that she was still out and needing oxygen and was too nauseated to eat and drink....in other words, not ready to leave. So I had to leave her there, call her sister to arrange for her to be picked up an hour or two later. I had time to run home and get Jonathan's swim stuff and snacks before picking him up at school and taking him to swim. In the half hour I had Kris and I figured out the programs for Brady's eagle court of honor, which is this Sunday. We got them figured out with 15 minutes to spare to start dinner before I had to leave to pick Jonathan up again. I got the ravioli done, but had to call Richard in from the neighbors to finish the spagetti. We got back from the pool to find Richard had dinner ready to eat and we had half an hour before we needed to leave for Jonathan's piano lesson (during which I got 3 phone calls). While Jonathan was at piano I got dressed for the leadership meeting, so I could leave Jonathan's meeting early and make it to leadership meeting. I made it home in time for scriptures and prayers, read a couple of chapters to Jonathan from "Leven Thumps and the Wrath of Ezra", sent him to bed, delivered the programs to the Quinns, taped the visiting teaching message on the door (with a note) for the one I missed and filled my empty gas tank. This is my wind down time.
In the first video a girl kept walking in front of Richard.
In the second one the guy who was turning pages for Jonathan is standing in front of him the whole time. The soloist is Jessie Stevenette.

Finally Jack's Birthday Dinner

Finally after Jack has been 22 for 5 days, we had his birthday dinner.
Richard went fishing Friday, so he cooked us a delicious bunch of trout!
Joni and Matt made it for cake and ice cream. Joni got a gift, too!
Then a little after dinner there was a DDR party in the basement!
You should have heard the groans when Josh went down the stairs. He and Meg are pretty sore from the run yesterday. They managed to DDR for an hour or so though. They came up the stairs with a lot less complaints!
It was a lot of fun! We only wish that Stephanie could have been here! And of course all of you!

5k

Today was the first annual South West Aquatics Team's 5k fun run. Jonathan, Jack, Josh and Meg all ran in it. Here they are stretchng before the race.

Jack came in 4th.

Josh was just a couple of places behind him.

Then Jonathan finished with Kirsten trying to pass him.

Meg finished soon after.

Only Jack felt like eating the Chuck Wagon Breakfast after. I should have taken a picture of Richard cooking the breakfast. As usual he did as much

work as anyone there. It was great fun! Thanks for coming!

Fun stuff for me, not so fun for Richard

I got to tend a few of the Skarda kids for a while yesterday morning. Their favorite thing was learning how to make snakes with the Playdough. I liked feeding Mary her bottle. We got a little stressed when Mary had a messy diaper, but I just called a nice neighbor, Camille, and Richard went down and got a diaper and a few wipes to fix the problem. I never mentioned anything to their Mom. I wonder if she noticed a strange diaper on her daughter?

Richard replaced the fuel pump on his van a couple of weeks ago. This week he replaced the power steering pump. Pretty soon it's all going to be new! Anyway, he has wheels again. We also made him a resume today. It's been awhile since he's had to do that! Its hard to get down on paper just how capable and amazing he is!

A busy Saturday and Joni's birthday!!

I had lots of fun things to attend on Saturday. First the Annual Easter Bash! The Gomezes hosted it and had everything well organized and ready for the fun! I got this picture of Grandpa's headwear for Josh, since he was in Las Vegas and missed it.

It was a big surprise to see Amber and Aaron down from Canada!!

I got a kick out of Ashlyn's many necklaces!

Jonathan spent most of his time there on the piano.

Gwen is 7 months pregnant now. Good food, good people and lots of cute kids!

We headed home so I could make it to a shower for Tyson Grove's fiancee.

I had a great time there chatting with old and new friends and tried not to eat too much, again!

Jonathan and Alex enjoyed networked computer gameplaying while I was gone.

We made it to the Rasmussen wedding reception. Sorry, I left the camera home.

Just when I thought the fun was over, Jack called and said he was on the bus. So half an hour later he arrived. He and Jonathan stayed up late playing more games.

Joni's presents and cake.

Joni on her "new" bike.

Joni is now 20 years old, which means that all of the Quincy kids are in their twenties, except for Jonathan.

Happy Birthday Joni! I'm glad you were born!

Back On Line!!!

Its been a tough week and I have been one of the many frequent library internet users almost every day! But we survived! I got more scrapbooking done than I would have and Jonathan got more time with Carson than he's had in years. Its been an eye opener for me to see how much we relied on the internet.

I missed pictures of Easter. I will get pictures on Joni's birthday this Sunday! Stay tuned!

Sad times at the Quincy's

So, I was trying to follow the instructions that the tech from Spyware Doctor gave me to get my virus and spyware protection working again (its been unable to run since April Fool's) and somehow I wiped out our Windows.
I'm actually at the library. I can't pay my bills without a computer any more. I can't communicate with people in my usual fashion. I can't look at pictures of my beautiful granddaughters.
I've been reading "Life As We Knew It", so I am not feeling too sorry for myself. They were a little worse off than I am.
Hopefully I'll get to post some wonderful Easter pictures soon after I take them!

More Birthday Celebrating!

No birthday is complete without dinner at Grandma's! What a relaxing Sunday watching conference and knowing that dinner would be waiting at Grandma's house!

It was great to see Scott and Kristi and their cute kids (sorry no pics of them), Grandma and Grandpa, of course and then the Deaners came! I was also serenaded by the Paulies while there!

So we had Jack and his darling girlfriend Stephanie, Josh and Meg, Jonathan, and Joni and Matt! What a party and what a lot of food Grandma fixed us!

A great day!

This has been a super birthday! Thanks everyone for the great birthday wishes! Richard painted the front room to match the couch and love seat he got me from KSL.com and painted the family room to match the love seats in there. Its like getting a whole new house! Jess called and started my day with a "Happy Birthday" sung by Sophie. She even got an "I love you" in. Jenny and James called and sang the first line for me! Jason and Nicole called while I was driving Jack and Stephanie over from TRAX. We went to Sizzler before priesthood meeting and it was delicious! I havent' been there for ages. Meg came and helped me get this blog started during priesthood meeting and made a delicious candy bar birthday cake. Everyone else sang to me then. I have to wait until tomorrow to see Matt and Joni. Joni was stuck without a car after work while Matt was working. Tomorrow is one of Grandma Ellis' famous birthday dinners! All that and conference, too! Lots of great calls, birthday wishes on Facebook and time with family made it a great day! Thanks everyone!
