An anniversary present!

Saturday is our 34th anniversary!  I have been wanting to get new furniture for my family room for a long time and I've had a really hard time deciding what I wanted.  We were about to go get a black leather sofa from Ikea last night and stopped at Sofa Biz on the way and found exactly what I wanted!  So it was twice as much as I planned on spending, but I love them!

The kids seem to like them, too!

On the way home..

BTW this is the 8th post I've done today about the reunion.  It was funpacked and each post is packed with pictures!  Its hard not to take pictures when you are surrounded by the 10 cutest kids in the world.
Our hotel was in Yakima.  Jason, Nicole  and kids took the Kendalls places in our van on the way home.  Logan is cute even out of focus.  I got to sit by Sydney and play with her.  She is so fun.

We stopped at the McDonald's in Ontario on the way home.

Its hard on the kids to eat before they can go play after riding in a van for 4 plus hours!

It was really hot outside, but they played anyway.

Tessa did not want to come out of the shade and step on the hot slide to get out.

Jessica to the rescue.

One last minute to play and then on the road again.  These kids were all champs!  We drove about 11 hours that day and there was very little complaining about it!  And now we are home alone tonight!

Last Day of the Quincy Reunion! Seattle and Bainsbridge Ferry ride!

Grandpa watching cartoon with the grandkids.

After breakfast we all packed up and left Lake Chelan.  We met at the Seattle temple grounds.  Dan reminds me so much of my brother-in-law Richard Wilson who died about 9 years ago.  He's like the piped piper. The kids all follow him around.

He's a lot of fun!

There's a park next door.  We decided that instead of putting all the kids back in their car seats after a 3 hour drive we'd walk over.   Thankfully James came with us and had a GPS or we might still be wandering in the woods.  There are lots of trails and they don't tell you which one to take.

At the end of the trail was the fun kid's playground!  This may have been the kids' favorite part of the trip.

Jack and Steph went to get us food from their favorite Teriyaki place.  It was delicious!

We ate at the park and then let the kids play for a while.

They had so much fun and are so cute together!

The guys liked hanging out on this huge teeter totter!

The little guys like this little teeter totter.

Such great guys!  When everone was fed and pottied we headed for the ferry ride to Bainsbridge.

Josh and Meg got behind a car they thought was in our group and followed it downtown before they realized it wasn't us.  So they were too late to get on the ferry with us.  They stayed in town and went to the aquarium. Which they were excited about anyway.
Here's a shot from the back of the ferry.

Best view of the space needle!

I love this shot of the Chapmans.  Look at Superman's cape!

It was really cool on the observation deck.

Jess got a better shot of Jenny than I did, but I had to take a shot of the Kendalls.

Jack, Steph and family.

Richard and I were really blowing away in this shot.

Crazy Jamison.

We can almost see Jamison in this shot.

Jess and Richard one level down from me.

There's the sign so you know we really made it.

We spent more time sitting on the way back.

Cool shot of  Captain Jack.

These little guys were so fun to watch running together!

Jason and Jack double teamed them.

Most of the family decided to head to their hotels for the night and to return Josh's and Jason's rental cars. The Chapmans wanted to see Pike's Market while we were right next to it.

Pretty much everything was closed and there were no street performers, but we can say we saw it!

Wednesday afternoon; walking to see Chelan.

We decided to walk downtown and look at the cool old shops in Chelan.  Notice the Quincy corn for sale.

We all loved this cool bookstore.  Emphasis on the cool temperature inside.  It was a hot walk.

I loved this shot of the upstairs/downstairs.

So if you were wondering where Jane got her princess look..

Yup.. the same.

Elliott was not at her best on this walk this is one of several time outs.

Sydney and Tessa loved the cool windmills.

Jason's cute family.

Jack's cute family.

Patting the bear.

Loving the shady spot on the bench.

Ahhh.

Here comes trouble.

Its a good thing Nicole is tough.

Meg was so thrilled with Elliott's tantrum.

Heading to the Riverwalk.

The Chapmans.

There goes Papa and Elliott.

I didn't get a shot of Jenny's family, she took off ahead of us to go finish dinner.  We're glad she did it was delicious!

There's the official sign.

Our best meal of the week!  Thanks Jen!

Peekaboo cousins.

Relaxing with dinner before the Big Just Dance competition!

Monkeys on my bed getting warmed up.

James and Jen!  Poor James didn't have a chance he had to go against the reigning champion!

Jess and Dan were pretty close on their scores.

Josh barely beat Meg.  (He was Justin Bieber)

Nicole was way too good for Jason, but he did a great lobster imitation.

Tessa loved dancing with Dan.

She and Sophie have learned to really make the right moves!  Jacob tries hard and does some cute moves.

Logan is just cute!

We had an ongoing competition for a tower of water play thing.  (Imitating my sister from our reunion) we had score cards.  Each family earned points for every member that participated in the talent show, played speed scrabble, played Mario Cart, played Just Dance and did the craft.  The Chapmans had the advantage of the most members and not surprisingly they won!
