Meets, projects and deadlines
He had the first long course meet of the season tonight at Kearn's Aquatic Center.
He dropped 2 seconds in his 100 meter free.
The splash is supposed to be me getting Jonathan's start. Oops! He has lots of fun talking to the other swimmers.
The meet was supposed to end with Jonathan in the final heat of the final event at about 9:30 pm. When the coach told us they were about 45 minutes behind schedule and getting further behind by the minute, we decided to scratch his last event.
So he had time to come home and get started on his endangered species report for science. Now its just 3 more Spanish finals, his Romeo and Juliet project and his final draft of his love essay and the rest of that endangered species report to get done before we head to Denver! He has a choir concert on Thursday. I'll try to at least get video of the songs he accompanies.

Mother's Day 2009
I am entering a new phase of mothering. Being a mother to a mother is a wonderful thing. I love seeing the growth and the great job my kids are doing at being and preparing to be parents. I loved the phone calls, cards, gifts, letters, notes, video chats, and visits from my kids. I wanted to share this sweet gift that Jonathan made for me. He recorded himself playing "Cherished Moments" by John Schmidt and then put together this slide show of my loved ones for me.

I also want to mention how blessed I am to have such a wonderful mother. She is a joy to be around and is the epitome of goodness and kindness. It would be impossible to be as giving as she is, but I try every day to be worthy of her love and service to me.
