Cecret Lake

Richard took us up to see the wildflowers in the Albion basin.

We decided to attempt a hike to Cecret Lake with 2 2 year olds, one 3 year old, a 4 year old and a 6 year old.  It was about 4:30 when we left home.

Jane was ready and willing to run the whole way.

Jacob was a little reluctant to walk on the uneven steep path.

They really liked the BIG rocks.

Richard, as always, came prepared with water bottles and snacks.

Dean carried this camping clothes line for the whole hike.

Jess trying to get Jacob going.

He really like the dirt and rocks.

About half way up, we decided the 3 youngest just weren't going to make it.

Dean, Jane, Jacob and I stayed behind to play.

They liked sitting on rocks.

Eating snacks.

Standing on rocks.

Forging new trails.

And sitting on logs.
We had fun playing ring around the rosies, throwing rocks at trees and looking for more flowers, but
they were excited to get their moms back.

Sophie and Tessa are good hikers.

They were proud of getting to the lake.

And starving for dinner. We headed down the canyon at 8:00 pm.
While Jenny fixed us another delicious wholesome dinner. I fed the kids hotdogs and chips.
Sophie is too big and old to sit at the little picnic table with the little guys.  She's a good sport.
