Last days in Houston

Nicole made us some delicious Baked Potatoe soup after church.  The Kendalls came and ate and played with us one more time.  Sadly most of the pictures I took were out of focus.

I'm sure that Jen and Nicole are disappointed I can't add the one of them doing Just Dance.

I tried to get a shot of Jane wearing these Minnie Mouse ears backwards, but she is one fast moving girl!  (she had to take off her shirt when she spilled on it.

Jason's cute girls.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was being able to go to Sydney's Sunbeams with her.  And the week before I got to teach Dean's Sunbeams class. I am just a Primary minded person!
We tried going to the park that is part of Jason and Nicole's neighborhood on our way to the airport, but it was freezing.  We had to go to Chick-fil-a's playground instead.
The only bad part of the trip was that I left my camera in Texas and that Logan and Sydney got sick after I left!  Thanks for the awesome vacation!  I had a blast!

Nicole's Birthday, my trainer, and an awesome mall

For Nicole's birthday she wanted to shop.  There's a super cool mall; the Katy Mills mall that has this cool kids's playground in it.

Jane being reverent as she climbs and plays.

4 cousins playing on a car together.

The only shot I got of the whole Kendall family.

Logan wants to be a big boy!

Climbing cousins.

Across from the playground is this arcade with lots of cool things.

Dean and Sydney had a ride on this roller coaster with their awesome dads.

The moms went shopping while the guys and I tended the kids. Lots of great distractions for the kiddos here.

My friend; Barbara, or Hermana McMurdie, my trainer from my mission to Chile lives close to the mall and came by and visited.  It was great to see her and catch up on our lives.

Then we went to Jason and Nicole's for birthday cake; an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.

Jen is pretty excited to try it.

Thanks for buying it for us Jason!

Sydney slept thru our birthday party.  So when she woke up...

the Kendalls were gone, but...

We had another chance to sing and for Nicole to blow out candles... and of course to have another piece of  the delicious cake!

James returns, the Quincys come and Jenny competes.

Sydney is such a sweet big sister.

Jane LOVES book!

Syd and Dean adore each other.

Logan and Nicole chilling on the sofa.

Jason chilling on the computer.

3 cousins.

This is the place we watched Jenny at her Crossfit gym tonight.

Jen warming up.

The competition goes for 5 weeks.  This was the first week. It is worldwide. Jen had 17 minutes to do as much as she could of 40 burpies, 30 snatches of 45 pounds, 30 burpies, 30 snatches at 75 pounds,20 burpies, 30 snatches at 100 pounds, 10 burpies, and as many snatches at 120 as possible. You score a point for every repetition you do. This is the same for every woman, no matter what her size or weight.  Last night at the gym was the first time Jen was able to snatch 75 pounds.  She knew she could score 100 points, but didn't know if she could do any snatches after all that hard of a workout.  She scored 117.  Josh did the same workout; the men's weights are higher.  He scored 127.  I got a few pictures through a plexiglass window.  Here's Jen with the 75 pounds she managed to snatch 17 times!!  She is amazing!  She's hoping the next workout is doing things she's been able to do before.  Go Jen and Josh!

The Houston Rodeo

We took a walk down the road a mile from Jen's town home this morning to get this shot if Flat Stanley with the Houston skyline behind him.  It was gorgeous!

Poor Jane fell asleep 3 times today and we woke her up 3 times to go somewhere.

Dean had to throw a couple of rock before we headed back home.

We built this "very tall tower before we left for the rodeo.  I don't know why this picture is sideways.  It wasn't when I chose it.

At the Houston Rodeo Dean was excited to be able to play with a truck engine.

He was excited to find Nicole with his favorite person; Sydney.

They have a cute farm for kids.  They got to plant seeds, drive tractors, feed chickens, play in corn, milk a cow and pet sheep. At each stop they got a tomato, a corn cob, a bag of wool, a carton of milk and an egg which they took to the Farmer's Market, sold and were given a dollar to buy a treat at the store on the way out.

Here they are planting their tomato seed.

Driving the tractor.

Logan pretty much just chills in his stroller.  He is such a sweet and handsome boy!

They loved playing in the corn.

Jane loved all of the animals.

Flat Stanley says hi to a cow.

Logan met Miss Moo.

Here's Jane trying to squease her head through the slats to get closer to this cow.

I stayed out of the petting zoo with the strollers and only managed this one picture from far away.

Behind Nicole is the place where Jenny bought me my first Funnel Cake.  It was delish!

Every year Nicole tries a diferent thing deep fried.  This year she tried the Key Lime Pie.
