December changes

In anticipation of the kids being here after Christmas we(by this I mean Richard at my request) are putting another bedroom in the basement.

This was last night.

Same room today.

I also changed the Christmas tree.  I'm  using only clear lights and pastelish ornaments and decorations in this room.  And planning to use the bright red and green stuff downstairs when we can move things back into the play room.  Maybe before Christmas. 

And Jonathan got a job at the Megaplex theater in the District.  Look for him at the Mayan concession.

So far he likes it much better than the Wendy's job.

Its going to be a different Christmas.  Most of kids are going to be at the in-laws on Christmas, Jonathan has to work, and the Chapmans are spending Christmas at home and driving here the day after. So we'll be pretending that the 26th is Christmas Eve and the 27th is Christmas.  What the hey!  We all know Christ's real birthday is April 6th anyway.  I'm not sure how its all going to work, but I am so thankful that my kids will all be able to come and celebrate with us and share their kids with us!  That's what I'm thankful for this Christmas.  Another chance to talk to them about Christ and his gifts to us and to enjoy giving and receiving gifts from each other!
