Josh's Birthday Party

Yup, Josh is one year older!  Elliott was very interested in his MANY candles. We had the fun of the Kendalls and Grandma and Grandpa besides Josh, Meg, Jonathan and Richard and I for dinner today!

When Josh and the Kendalls get together there's lots of talk about cross-fit.  And lots of questions and discussion about proper form doing their cross-fit stuff.  Here's Josh showing Jen how to do a lift of some kind.

Dean doesn't play with normal toys.  He found an elastic in the drawer and was turning the drawer pulls and loving how it all worked.

Elliott not only exercises with me in the morning, she has starting invovling her friends in the workouts; here she has her favorite doll and reindeer troll doing push-ups with us. 

We had the good fortune of a visit from the Kendalls on their way to Orem from the airport!  Jane kept pulling this hilarious pose poking out her tummy.

Josh, our hero!

Richard has been getting the rooms ready to put the first layer of mud on.  The sheetrock is all up and he had most of the tape and corner strips on.  Josh came and helped for about 5 hours on Saturday and the first coat of mud is on!!

Richard can do it alone, but he knows it will be more fun and be done better with Josh's help.

Thanks Josh!  2 more coats and we'll be ready to paint!

A sleep over that lasted into the 12-12-12 celebration!

Elliott slept over last night.  She is such a fun girl!  Today she was into carrying 2 babies around.  She is really excited about the Christmas Doll and loves to mother her.  She shares her food and toys with her and does the funniest dance with her.  Anyways this is what we were doing at about 12:12 today. 

December changes

In anticipation of the kids being here after Christmas we(by this I mean Richard at my request) are putting another bedroom in the basement.

I also changed the Christmas tree.  I'm  using only clear lights and pastelish ornaments and decorations in this room.  And planning to use the bright red and green stuff downstairs when we can move things back into the play room.  Maybe before Christmas. 

And Jonathan got a job at the Megaplex theater in the District.  Look for him at the Mayan concession.

So far he likes it much better than the Wendy's job.

Its going to be a different Christmas.  Most of kids are going to be at the in-laws on Christmas, Jonathan has to work, and the Chapmans are spending Christmas at home and driving here the day after. So we'll be pretending that the 26th is Christmas Eve and the 27th is Christmas.  What the hey!  We all know Christ's real birthday is April 6th anyway.  I'm not sure how its all going to work, but I am so thankful that my kids will all be able to come and celebrate with us and share their kids with us!  That's what I'm thankful for this Christmas.  Another chance to talk to them about Christ and his gifts to us and to enjoy giving and receiving gifts from each other!
