Red, White and Blue Meet 2009

Jonathan had a 3 day swim meet this week. Well, we left early on Wednesday (after they closed the pool for 45 minutes) so I guess it was kind of a 2 day meet for us. Apparently they started the meet again after we left and went until 11:00 pm, but we didn't realize it until Jonathan got an angry text message from the coach.

Coach Andee wasn't there on Wednesday so this is how Jonathan's team was warming up.

Thursday it got really cold, it rained, it blew and then it poured. We called Richard and asked him to bring us jackets. Just before he came to our rescue it stopped raining and this rainbow appeared. No lightening, so the meet just kept on going.

This is Jonathan and Brady waiting to swim their 200 IMs at about 9:30 that night.
They still got best times!
Today was bright, sunny and too hot for the first couple of hours.

Jonathan swam the 100 meter back and got a best time!

Actually Jonathan got lots of best times, which is surprising since he has only been able to swim 4 days of practice since June 15th. Maybe the best part was stopping at the new Olive Garden in American Fork on the way home tonight!

  1. Wow--I'm not a swimmer and don't know much about it, but it looks like Jonathan's got excellent form!

  2. Cool picture of Jonathan "flyin"! Best times w/o going to workouts? Who does that? Imagine how fast he'd be WITH practice. :) Olive Garden is always a good idea.
