Thanksgiving in Houston
We started the day with dressing Dean in his cute dinosaur overalls, which he spit up on almost immediatelym but we got a picture first!
Jenny's sister-in-law, Emily is an amazing cook and pretty much did the whole turkey dinner. It was amazing; for example she ground the wheat to make the bread, which she used in the stuffing. It doesn't get much more "from scratch" than that. Everything was delicious.
Nicole looks like she's more comfortable today. Hopefully now that baby Jean got turkey dinner and pie, she'll be ready to come out.
Little Dean did his best to convince his cousin its better out here.
Here's the darling Kendall family. There's a lot of love there. Now to see if I can post a video of Dean awake and looking around.

A field trip
Poor Nicole is so ready to have this baby!

We took Dean to the Houston temple today, so Jen could get some new garments, btw the new lycra ones are awesome.

We all love Dean!! I posted a video of his funny noises on Jenny's blog. (See the link for Jenny and James on the side)Tuesday, November 24, 2009
Baby Dean
I love this picture of Dean in his favorite nap position.
This is Dean's 3 week old shot.
Jenny is a wonderful mother, who seems to be able to read Dean's mind.
I love this sweet baby! I'm so glad that I finally got to Houston to meet him!

The Chapmans Come to Town!
So I'm thinking backwards tonight so these pictures are in opposite order to when they were taken; Here's Jack and Sophie getting to know each other again.
Jess, Josh, Sophie and Meg share a loveseat.
Steph trying to get Jonathan in a picture. He's is beyond camera shy!
Jess and Meg
Josh and Tessa
Joni helping Sophie make her princess picture frame.
Aunt Joni and the girls!
Jack and Steph finally come to visit.
Sophie playing like she's a baby.
Tessa really relaxing and enjoying Aunt Meg and Uncle Josh.
Sharing; When Tessa tried to take Sophie's bear she quickly ran downstairs and found one for Tessa. I loved it!
Grandpa's shoes.
A BIG Grandma hug.
Catching fish with morning hair!
I love having the Chapmans come. Not just because it is a delight to see and play with my darling granddaughters, but because when the Chapmans are in town, I see all of my kids that live here more. We hadn't seen Jack and Stephanie for ages!
The girls are soo much fun! Sophie is hilarious with her made up songs, great dance moves and funny comments. Tessa is at such a fun age and is soo happy and easy to please. I could just sit and watch her for hours. She jabbers, crawls, stands and refuses to walk. We did trick her into taking 4 or 5 steps, but she was too smart to trick more than once. Jess and Dan are such great parents! I'm glad that I got a couple of days with my girls before heading out to Houston tomorrow! I will be posting lots of pictures of Dean Bean! I can't wait to meet him!!

Wedding, Banquet, Practice, Shower & Performance
What a funfilled week-end! My nephew Kevin was married on Friday the 13th. It was really nice, except that I had one of my most embarrassing moments; the cell phone I was sure I'd turned off, rang in the sealing room. Luckily it was before the couple arrived, so they won't remember it with their wedding memories.
We had a couple of hours between pictures and the luncheon so we took a tour of the new Family History Library with Scott, Grandma and Grandpa. They showed us a movie that brought me to tears. I was impressed, but disappointed that I couldn't actually do any online ancestry.com work there.
The luncheon was really nice.
The freeway was closed southbound, so we had a long and scenic drive home and lots of bonding time with Erika, which is always fun.
We got home about half of an hour before I was supposed to have my salad at the church for the Stake High Priest Banquet. While I made the salad, my sweet husband went and picked up the Papa Murphy Pizzas I need for the Primary Practice the next morning.
We hit the banquet, which was as wonderful as always, except for the sad news that our old stake president, Merl Shumway has a tumor in his liver. We left early and made it to Kevin and Emily's reception. Where we got the key to Grandma's house so we could drop the family group gift off at their apartment on our way home, then stopped at Walmart for the donuts for the Primary Practice and finally got home and out of our dress up clothes.
The Primary Program Practice went well. Richard came and helped set everything up for us and cooked the pizza while we practiced.
We got home with over an hour before the shower. The baby shower for Natalie was a blast! She's having a baby boy in January. It was great to have friends from our ward, our old ward, the cute ladies from work, and some of Natalie's family and friends. She hauled in a ton of gifts!
Sunday was correlation meeting at 7:30 am, and the Primary Sacrament Meeting Presentation. It was great! I'm really proud of my kids. Few, but awesome. This is the cover that I printed up for the program. I managed to get all but 2 of the families of our Primary kids.
Now to get ready for Chapmans coming here and my trip to Houston!! Woo Hoo!
